A girl under the age of 10 in Japan has been infected with the British variant novel coronavirus.
Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced Tuesday that a girl under 10 years old in Tokyo was infected with the British variant novel coronavirus.
The Labour ministry said the girl had no record of travelling abroad and the source of her infection was unknown.
One more person in Shizuoka has been infected with the variant virus, bringing the total number of people infected to four.
A total of 1,175 new cases were reported in Tokyo yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to more than 90,000 for the 10th consecutive day.
